The Antarctic Peninsula is one of the world’s most remote and
pristine wilderness regions. Huge mountain ranges decend to the water
edge. Wildlife is abundant including seals, penguins and whales to be
sighted.
Imagine after a day of photographing this sub Antarctic wildlife from
the close proximity of your zodiac, you zip underneath the overhanging
cliff of a 6000’ high glacier and retire to the warmth of your private
research ship.
After a nice hot shower you relax to your deck chair with
h’ordeurves on hand and sip from a 12 year old malt scotch soaked in
glacial ice that is 1 million years old...or for the more adventurous...
Imagine... you can hear the crunch of sea ice sliding beneath your
zodiac as you carefully steer your way ashore. You and your boarding
party carry with you skis, ice picks ropes, tents, satellite phones, radios,
food and a plan to scale a nearby mountain peak and meet the yacht the
following day.

The Vessel
Our very own exclusive and
private CashFlow On ICE®
vessel is a modern and
comfortable research ship of
the Hydrographic Institute of
St. Petersburg, Russia. Built in
1990 in Finland, the Aleksey
Maryshev´ is ideally suited to
expedition cruising. Our vessel,
which has an extreme ice-strengthened hull, built of strong steel, has a
range of 70 days independent operation, is ISM certified and a perfect
ice-breaker for the polar seas. It is manned by an enthusiastic Russian
crew of around 20, all highly experienced in ice navigation and are
recognised as experts in polar navigation.
All our onboard international expedition leaders and lecturers are
highly knowledgeable, helpful and dedicated to the protection of the
environment. The Aleksey Maryshev´ has a large bridge (where you are
almost always welcome) and good open deck-viewing areas. It carries a
full complement of Zodiac craft, excellent for landings and wildlife
viewing opportunities in otherwise inaccessible areas.
3-Star meals,
prepared by international chefs, are served in the dining room, which
also acts as our lecture room. Other public areas include a lounge and
bar, small library, infirmary, and sauna.
